I've got a couple of hens in the backyard who I'd like to keep healthy and worm free.

One of the reasons I keep chickens is to save money on eggs but the more you buy for them the less cost effective it becomes.

With that in mind does anyone have any tips on how to keep chickens worm free without using drugs?

I've heard a large amount of cayene pepper in their diet works. Apparently the worms can't take the heat and end up leaving and once they're on the outside their dead.

I use pumpkin seeds.  We eat quite a bit of pumpkin and we give the chooks the middle and it seems to do the trick no problem

Feed them minced garlic.
